Rick and Jilda Watson, husband and wife, singer/songwriters are from Empire, Alabama. They have been playing music and writing for most of their lives. Rick and Jilda have opened for the late John Stewart (Daydream Believer), Dan Crary (in Ireland) The Kingston Trio and Three On A String. They have played at the Nappa Valley Folk Festival, Horse Pens 40, Montgomery Jubilee Festival, The Frank Brown International Songwriter’s Festival, at Jacque’s in NYC, at the Annual Jerry Roberts Labor Day BBQ in Chicago, and across Ireland.Rick and Jilda

Their music has been used in corporate videos and independent films. One of their songs, The Night A Country Star Was Born( co-written with Marty Rainone) recorded by Lamar Morris was #1on the European Indie Country Charts. Three other songs have charted in the top 20 in ICC in Europe. Their song, Bright Side(co-written with Tracy Reynolds) has aired for the past two years in an MTV Reality show in Canada. Rick and Jilda also have songs currently being played in Australia and the UK.
Rick is an author, his book Remembering Big is a compilation of his columns featured in 280 Living and The Daily Mountain Eagle.
The Watsons also perform with Steve Norris as The Overalls. They live on a small farm, Rick is retired from AT&T and Jilda is a yoga therapist.
